2023 GOLD & Bold Award, UNI Alumni Association

Danny was awarded and recognized as one of three 2023 GOLD & Bold Award winners from the UNI Alumni Association. The GOLD & Bold award recognizes UNI alumni who have made exceptional educational, career or personal achievements since their graduation, and award selections celebrate the unique and emerging contributions alumni make in their communities and careers.

From the UNI Alumni Association:

Daniel Laudick graduated from UNI in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Danny is the Founder and Executive Director of Red Cedar, a public-private partnership to support entrepreneurs and new business startups in the Cedar Valley. Danny has been recognized through the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier’s  20 Under 40 and with the Entrepreneur award from Cedar Falls Utilities for the work of Red Cedar. In addition to Red Cedar, he has helped to create several businesses & community initiatives including the Cedar Valley Makers, Mill Race Coworking, the Red Cedar Seed Fund, the Black Business & Entrepreneur Accelerator, Cedar Valley Strong, and Cedar Valley Drink & Draw.
